Role Overview
The studio is hiring a highly organised Production Coordinator to partner with the Line Producer and support artists across production and post-production. This position plays an important part in keeping the pipeline running smoothly by using strong planning, tracking, communication, troubleshooting, and coordination skills. The role focuses on reducing bottlenecks, keeping work moving, and helping departments stay aligned.
Production and Post-Production Support
- Help set up and manage the day-to-day flow of animation production and post-production work, including Lighting, Rendering, and Compositing.
- Support leadership in building, monitoring, and updating schedules across production and post-production teams.
- Coordinate the movement, setup, and organisation of assets, files, and tasks as work progresses from layout through to compositing.
Episode and Asset Tracking
- Convert episode animatics into practical task lists for teams such as Animation and Lighting.
- Create episode breakdowns and launch materials that help projects move cleanly between departments.
- Monitor progress across 3D Animation, Lighting, Unreal Engine, and Compositing to make sure deliverables stay on target.
- Support the Lead Generalist with scene assembly in Unreal Engine and help prepare layout scenes for animation using custom automation and export tools in Maya and Unreal Engine.
Editorial and Rendering Support
- Assist in making shot-by-shot edits of existing animatics for breakdowns and production planning.
- Provide editing support for post-production, including helping prepare sequences for render.
- Log takes after voice-over recording sessions so Directors can review and choose the strongest performances.
- Help with render scheduling and quality control, identify issues, coordinate fixes, and prioritise shots to keep throughput high against deadlines.
Database and Workflow Coordination
- Keep production management software accurate and up to date so artists and management have clear information.
- Join production meetings, capture detailed notes, and turn meeting decisions into actionable tasks.
- Pass information from supervisors and directors to the relevant departments clearly and consistently to avoid confusion.
Problem Solving and Workflow Improvement
- Spot and help resolve issues involving assets, shots, or files that are holding up production.
- Work with Leads, Supervisors, and Directors to deliver projects within the planned timeline.
- Help develop and roll out new tools and pipeline improvements that make the production team more efficient.
What You Should Bring
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience coordinating or managing projects within 3D animation or game development. You should be comfortable using project and production tools such as Asana, Trello, Jira, or ShotGrid, and have a working understanding of Adobe Premiere or a similar editing application. Experience with Unreal Engine, Maya, or Blender is expected. Strong independent thinking, excellent organisation, good time management, effective problem-solving, and a proactive mindset are all important for success in this role. A self-starting approach and an interest in improving workflows and team efficiency will be highly valued.
Bonus Experience
Additional advantage will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of internet and gaming culture, along with practical familiarity with 3D tools such as Maya, Blender, or Unreal Engine.
