Role overview
G-III Apparel Group is hiring a Production Associate for its Women’s Denim team supporting DKNY in Midtown Manhattan’s Fashion District. This is an on-site role focused on managing key parts of the apparel lifecycle, from early development through production and final delivery.
The position works closely with sourcing, design, sales, vendors, and cross-functional partners to keep product development on track, resolve issues quickly, and maintain accurate reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving fashion environment.

Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain work-in-progress reports to support development tracking and garment delivery.
- Prepare buy charts for monthly buying meetings with Sales and Design, and share progress updates with leadership.
- Coordinate data entry and communication with the G-III China Sourcing Office.
- Keep daily vendor communication moving, especially with global suppliers, and help resolve development issues.
- Share approvals within required timelines and escalate concerns when needed.
- Monitor samples for Public Relations and Global Sales use, including handling special sample requests.
- Manage purchase orders and lead Seasonal Production Validation meetings.
- Prepare initial costing and support production coordination with internal partners.
- Attend production fittings when required.
- Work with Design to secure product development approvals.
- Track milestones from tech pack submission through TOP sample completion.
- Use AS400, Gerber Web PDM, and/or Yunique PLM tools to support product lifecycle activities.
- Complete other assigned projects that support sourcing and production work.
Candidate profile
- Detail-focused professional with strong planning and organization abilities.
- Comfortable solving problems in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong collaborator with clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to adjust quickly when priorities change.
- Capable of managing several deadlines at once while maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of apparel production experience in a SKU-intensive environment.
- College degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Working knowledge of WebPDM, PLM systems, Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with AS400 is preferred; willingness to learn it is required.
- Strong multitasking and project management ability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Compensation and benefits
The annual pay range for this role is $75,000 to $85,000, based on a 40-hour work week. This compensation disclosure is provided in line with New York City salary transparency requirements.
