Role Summary

This position sits at the centre of Global Procurement transformation. It is essential for building consistent, compliant, and scalable procurement operations by improving governance, strengthening audit preparedness, and supporting lasting adoption of change across the procurement function, business stakeholders, member firms, and suppliers.

The Process Manager owns the full lifecycle of Global Procurement processes and ensures that process maps, SOPs, and supporting guidance are well defined, applied consistently, and aligned to policy, systems, and operational needs. A major part of the role is leading audit and compliance activity, including coordination with internal audit, oversight of the Non Budgeted Items Policy, and ensuring controls, submissions, and policy compliance remain robust.

Reporting to the Change Management & Process Senior Manager, the role partners closely with stakeholders across functions to support change communications, content development, and engagement activity. It also uses AI-enabled tools and modern digital ways of working to make operations more efficient, scalable, and ready for audit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the governance model for process change by managing the full cycle of reviewing, approving, and rolling out process updates in a controlled and structured manner.
  • Own and update all Global Procurement process documents so that SOPs, workflows, and guidance remain accurate and aligned with how the function works.
  • Assess changes with a broad lens, including effects on people, technology, data, controls, policy, and related upstream and downstream activities.
  • Help shape new and improved processes with Technology, Data, Category teams, and other stakeholders to make them efficient, scalable, and easy to use.
  • Support the design and ongoing enhancement of sourcing processes and category strategy workflows so they fit smoothly into the operating model.
  • Act as a trusted source of practical process guidance for teams asking how things work, what is changing, and what good practice looks like.
  • Coordinate across functions so process changes are understood, tested, and introduced successfully within wider transformation work.
  • Maintain knowledge assets such as documentation, templates, and training content, while continuously improving processes by removing waste, simplifying steps, and increasing consistency.
  • Prepare and organise documentation required for audits and policy reviews affecting Global Procurement.
  • Track audit timelines and work with internal audit teams to keep Global Procurement prepared and responsive.
  • Collect accurate supporting evidence from procurement teams for audits, including documents, records, and control evidence.
  • Oversee the operational running of the Non Budgeted Items Policy and help ensure it is applied correctly.
  • Support teams during the rollout of new or updated policies in partnership with change management activity.
  • Maintain clear links between procurement policies, processes, and controls so policy application is easy to trace in practice.
  • Develop and sustain strong working relationships with colleagues across Global Procurement, internal business functions, member firms, and suppliers.
  • Tailor communication to different audiences, from operational teams to senior leaders.
  • Facilitate workshops, reviews, and group discussions to align stakeholders on process design, improvement opportunities, and the impact of change.
  • Contribute to communication and change efforts across strategic Global Procurement initiatives.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in process documentation, process management, communications, compliance, procurement, or business operations.
  • Strong capability in designing, simplifying, and governing end-to-end processes, including the use of swimlane diagrams.
  • Experience delivering process improvement in complex or changing environments.
  • Solid understanding of audit, risk, and governance requirements, along with experience keeping processes audit ready and supporting on-time audit submissions.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, Process Excellence, or Continuous Improvement certification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Change management certification such as Prosci, APMG, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Working knowledge of leading procurement platforms such as Coupa, Ariba, SAP SRM, or ServiceNow S2P, and the ability to connect platform capability to process and governance needs.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior partners and build agreement without direct authority.
  • Experience driving process and governance adoption while keeping disruption to operations low.
  • Practical use of AI and automation tools such as Copilot, workflow automation, and content generation to improve speed, control, and audit readiness.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Excellent written and spoken communication with the ability to make complex information easy to understand.
  • Ability to take high-level direction and convert it into well-structured, high-quality outputs.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and coordination skills.
  • Comfort managing competing priorities in a busy, fast-moving environment.

Ways of Working

This role is expected to operate in a flexible, delivery-focused manner and work closely with stakeholders across time zones. It is suited to someone who can quickly integrate into active initiatives and deliver at pace. The role requires an AI-enabled, continuous improvement mindset, using digital tools to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and streamline work across Global Procurement. Success will be measured by the quality, speed, consistency, and clarity of deliverables.
