Role overview
This position leads global payroll, compensation, and benefits activities for the organization. The successful candidate will shape and run payroll processes across multiple countries, build competitive pay structures, and manage benefits programs that fit local regulations while supporting wider business and talent goals.
Working closely with HR, Finance, and external partners, this role is expected to improve operational quality, strengthen compliance, and contribute to strategic workforce planning.
Global payroll management
- Take ownership of payroll operations end to end across several countries, with a focus on accurate and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with payroll service providers and internal teams so payroll runs smoothly.
- Make sure payroll activity meets local statutory rules, tax requirements, and reporting duties.
- Handle payroll checks and audits, and resolve errors, questions, and escalations.
- Improve payroll workflows through automation, better controls, and stronger governance.
Compensation management
- Create and roll out global compensation structures that reflect market practice and internal fairness.
- Support yearly compensation processes such as pay reviews, bonuses, and promotion-related adjustments.
- Carry out benchmarking and market comparisons to keep pay packages competitive.
- Build and maintain job grading models and salary ranges.
- Work with business leaders on compensation decisions and offer design.
Benefits management
- Develop and manage global and country-level benefits such as insurance, leave, wellness, and retirement plans.
- Assess how effective and cost-efficient benefits programs are across different regions.
- Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and other benefits partners.
- Ensure programs comply with local laws and company policies.
- Support efforts to align benefits more consistently across locations where appropriate.
Compliance, governance, and controls
- Ensure payroll, compensation, and benefits practices comply with labor laws, tax rules, and statutory requirements in all relevant regions.
- Create and maintain policies, SOPs, and internal controls for C&B and payroll operations.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Reduce operational and compliance risks linked to payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
Systems and data management
- Administer HRIS and payroll platforms including TMF Horizon, Cloudpay, BIPO, and ADP, ensuring data quality and accurate reporting.
- Support system improvements, integrations, and automation work.
- Maintain proper records, documentation, and data governance practices.
