About the company
You will be joining the finance team of a long-established and expanding Irish retail pharmacy group operating across multiple locations. This permanent full-time position sits within a busy finance function and reports to the Financial Director.
Role overview
The successful hire will support payroll activity, month-end work, reconciliations, reporting, and day-to-day finance administration across the group.
Key duties
- Handle payroll each month from start to finish.
- Enter sales data and prepare related reports.
- Reconcile cash accounts and investigate differences.
- Carry out bookkeeping tasks.
- Post bank transactions and complete bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end close activities and reporting.
- Assist with preparing weekly and monthly management accounts.
- Provide general administrative support to the Financial Director when needed.
What the employer is looking for
- IPASS or IATI qualification.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Background in processing payroll within a high-volume monthly payroll environment.
- Hands-on experience with Big Red Book Payroll and/or Big Red Book Cloud, or an equivalent accounting and payroll system.
- Familiarity with ROS services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced ability in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- A positive, motivated, and professional approach.
