About Daily Bread Food Bank
Daily Bread Food Bank is focused on lasting solutions that help end hunger and poverty. Through innovative programs, it supports people with low incomes and those facing food insecurity. The organization distributes fresh and shelf-stable food, along with prepared meals, to 144 member agencies and 214 food programs across Toronto. It also produces the annual Who’s Hungry report, which examines food insecurity and poverty trends in Toronto, raises public awareness, and supports policy change.
Role summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the organization’s brand, campaigns, and storytelling. This role drives the planning, creative development, and execution of integrated marketing work, coordinates with creative and brand partners, and helps ensure strong visual communication across all channels. It is a practical, collaborative position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, mission-oriented environment.

Location: 191 New Toronto Street, Toronto, ON, M8V 2E7
Schedule: 35 hours per week, full-time
Work model: Hybrid, with a minimum of 2 to 3 days on site
Compensation: $77,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience
Work timing: Some weekend, evening, and holiday availability will be required
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing campaigns across digital, print, and experiential channels.
- Track timelines, budgets, and outputs so projects stay on schedule and meet the brief.
- Partner with internal teams such as fundraising and advocacy to keep marketing activity aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee relationships with external agencies and vendors, including creative, digital, and production partners.
- Create briefs, assess creative concepts, and give clear, practical feedback.
- Make sure external deliverables follow brand guidelines, strategic direction, and budget limits.
- Protect and promote consistent brand use across marketing, communications, fundraising, advocacy, and public-facing materials.
- Guide the creation of print, digital, and environmental communication assets.
- Coordinate work with in-house designers and/or freelance creatives.
- Maintain strong visual quality, consistency, and accessibility in all outputs.
- Lead storytelling initiatives that communicate the organization’s mission, community impact, and work.
- Manage video projects from concept development through production and post-production.
- Organize photography and video shoots with staff, volunteers, and outside partners.
- Adapt visual content so it works effectively across different platforms and audiences.
- Support marketing and promotion for fundraising, community, and stakeholder events.
- Develop event materials such as signage, invitations, digital assets, and post-event content.
- Work with event and fundraising teams to ensure consistent messaging and strong audience engagement.

Experience and qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand management.
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, business, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading integrated campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, and experiential.
- Experience managing agencies and vendors, including briefs, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Experience creating and overseeing marketing and communications materials in several formats.
- Strong background in visual storytelling, including photography, video, and multimedia content creation.
- Experience upholding brand standards and consistent messaging across materials.
- Experience supporting marketing for events such as fundraising, community, or stakeholder events.
- Nonprofit or mission-driven experience is an asset.
