Maintenance Technician

Role overview

This part-time Maintenance Technician position is based in Dubai and combines on-site technical work with some work-from-home tasks, mainly around documentation and reporting. The role focuses on keeping building systems and facilities operating smoothly through regular inspections, preventative servicing, and timely repairs.

What you will do

• Carry out routine checks on equipment and building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Handle general repair and maintenance work across facility systems.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults, including equipment failures.
• Work with vendors or contractors when outside support is required.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs, reports, and other records.
• Support industrial maintenance work where relevant to the site.
• Coordinate with property management and other stakeholders to limit downtime and service interruptions.

Qualifications and technical background

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of equipment maintenance and building repair work. A technical certificate or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or building maintenance is preferred. Experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical setting will be an advantage.

Additional requirements

You should be able to understand technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety instructions. Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a part-time hybrid schedule are important. Clear communication and teamwork skills are also needed for working with property managers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
