About the role

The Maintenance Controller will be accountable for authorising maintenance and repair work for passenger vehicles through approved service repairers. The role also involves preparing invoices for payment, managing maintenance spend after vehicles have been delivered to customers, and providing accurate information while resolving day-to-day queries and operational matters within agreed timeframes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier requests for maintenance and repair work on managed vehicles and equipment.
• Check that all servicing aligns with manufacturer maintenance requirements.
• Make sure fault repairs are completed in line with current CoR and health and safety procedures.
• Work closely with external suppliers to help them use the EVO portal more effectively.
• Respond to customer questions relating to general maintenance matters.
• Assist with the creation and processing of OCM service jobs.

Skills and experience

• Trade-qualified mechanic background.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with active listening and questioning ability.
• Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse information critically.
• Resourceful and persistent approach to issues.
• High level of ownership and accountability.
