Loader Operative

Role overview

Biffa is hiring a Loader Operative to support waste collection and street-cleaning services in Cannock and South Staffs. This is an outdoor, hands-on role where you’ll contribute directly to cleaner streets and stronger local communities.

Pay and working pattern

The role pays £12.91 per hour. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with 42.5 hours per week in Cannock and 45 hours per week in South Staffs.

What you’ll do

As part of a crew, you’ll help collect household waste and support environmental cleanliness across the local area.

• Gather bins, boxes, and bags from residents.
• Empty collected waste into the waste collection vehicle.
• Carry out street-cleansing tasks such as sweeping and picking up litter.
