Landscaping Technician

Role overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a Landscaping Technician to help maintain the resort’s outdoor spaces to a high luxury standard. The property sits in West Bay Lagoon, Doha, and is part of a long-established five-star destination known for refined hospitality, award-winning dining, wellness facilities, private beach access, event spaces, and attentive guest service.

This role sits within the Landscaping & Grounds function and is classified as a full-time, non-management position. The job is based on-site in Doha, and the position requires a valid driver’s license.

What you will do

• Inspect the grounds regularly and keep the property’s outdoor areas looking clean, attractive, and well cared for.
• Clean, repair, or replace features such as fountains, planters, and other landscape elements when needed.
• Plant and replace flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
• Water, weed, trim, and maintain flower beds, baskets, and planter boxes.
• Trim and prune trees and shrubs, and carry out replacement or transplanting work when required.
• Mow, edge, and rake lawns, including trimming grass in areas that are difficult for machines to reach.
• Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems.
• Collect and dispose of trash from exterior bins, including bagging waste.
• Operate utility vehicles, trucks, tractors, or dump trucks to move tools, supplies, materials, and debris.
• Clean, wash, and refuel equipment after use.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and security standards, and report hazards, defects, incidents, or injuries promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.
• Work with the team to support shared goals and uphold quality standards.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines for defects before use.
• Handle physical duties such as standing or walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, working on uneven or slippery surfaces, using ladders, and performing bending, twisting, reaching, and other manual tasks.
• Carry out snow removal and ice management duties if applicable.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have a practical background in landscaping or grounds maintenance, be comfortable with physically active work, and be able to follow safety and service standards in a luxury hospitality setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
