Role Overview

As a Junior Site Engineer, you will support the delivery of major construction works by helping with technical coordination, site documentation, inspections, and quality compliance. The position is suited to someone who is detail-focused, motivated, and ready to learn on site while contributing to safe and efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the review of drawings, method statements, and other technical project documents.
• Assist with site inspections and prepare basic documentation needed for QA/QC approvals.
• Update progress reports with direction from senior engineering staff.
• Help ensure safety requirements are followed in the assigned work zones.
• Liaise with subcontractors and internal teams to coordinate day-to-day site activities.
• Prepare red-line markups and maintain supporting site records.
• Build knowledge of quality standards through practical, on-the-job learning.
• Take part in short-term planning sessions and toolbox talks.
• Use technical knowledge and discipline-specific understanding to support high-quality work within your area.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by management to support business needs.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and basic engineering methods.
• Strong organisation and record-keeping capabilities.
• Attention to detail with a practical problem-solving approach.
• Awareness of site safety requirements and compliance practices.
• Comfort working in collaborative, team-based settings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competence with MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with construction documentation systems and software tools.
• Exposure to QA/QC workflows and inspection processes.
• Basic understanding of authority approvals, site procedures, handover, and commissioning.
• Proactive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
• First Aider certification is listed as a desirable skill requirement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have a qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent proven experience. The role also requires 5+ years of experience.
