Junior Frontend Developer – E-Commerce & Shopify (m/w/d)

Role overview

ABRIO in Frankfurt am Main is looking for a Junior Frontend Developer with a focus on E-Commerce and Shopify. You will join a motivated, professional team and work closely with colleagues and clients on challenging commerce projects for well-known brands in D2C, B2C, and B2B environments. The role is centered on frontend implementation, while also offering opportunities to contribute to backend-related topics.

Your work will involve translating business and client requirements into clean technical solutions and helping build scalable digital commerce experiences. Prior Shopify exposure is helpful, but it is not mandatory.

What you will do

• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team with developers, designers, and marketing specialists on demanding Shopify migration and platform projects, as well as modern online shops for established clients.
• Create responsive, high-performance frontend experiences for commerce platforms and turn requirements into scalable implementations.
• Enhance Shopify capabilities with suitable apps and contribute to a better user experience.
• Work with contemporary tools and technologies such as TypeScript and common frontend frameworks to build polished digital interfaces.
• Support backend-related tasks including database structures, data migrations, and middleware integrations.

What we are looking for

You should have completed a university degree in a relevant field such as business informatics, data engineering, industrial engineering, user experience design, or a comparable discipline. Early hands-on experience in software development is expected, gained through a first job, internship, working student role, or personal projects.

The main focus should be on frontend development, with confident use of TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern React-based frameworks. Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, responsive design, and performance optimization would be an advantage. You should work in a structured, independent way, care about code quality, and be willing to learn new topics quickly.

Strong communication skills are important, along with the ability to work well in a team and interact confidently with clients. Very good German skills and good English skills are required.
