Role overview

Rychiger Canada Inc. is looking for a driven and adaptable IT Support Specialist to join its Toronto team. This position combines hands-on support work with development and maintenance responsibilities across hardware, software, databases, and internal platforms. The role also involves independent work on project tasks and ongoing contributions to improve the company’s IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support new hardware components and software solutions, including Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
• Maintain and administer existing systems and components to ensure continued stability and performance.
• Expand database functionality using tools such as SharePoint and MS SQL.
• Handle IT support requests through the ticketing system within agreed service levels, covering both first-line and second-line support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in coordination with the headquarters IT team.
• Carry out project-related assignments independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide basic user support and training for Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, Outlook, and Power BI, including scheduling sessions when needed.
• Help communicate and reinforce IT policies and best practices across the organization.
• Spot repeated issues and suggest improvements to systems, workflows, or user training to improve efficiency and the user experience.
• Keep IT documentation current, including procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting instructions.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets such as hardware, software, and peripherals in the asset management system.
• Track the full lifecycle of IT assets from purchase to retirement, including allocations, transfers, and disposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT specialist.
• Experience with ticketing systems and support workflows.
• Customer-oriented mindset with professionalism and patience.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
• Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of process requirements and documentation methods, including requirements engineering.
• Good time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, encryption, and related network security technologies.
• High accuracy and careful attention to detail in daily work.

Compensation

The offered salary range is CAD 65,000 to CAD 83,000 per year, depending on experience.
