About the Role

We are seeking an Interface Coordinator to support a major engineering and operations environment in Doha, Qatar. The role sits within the Project / Engineering / Operations team and focuses on keeping interfaces aligned across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. The position is based on a project assignment and follows a permanent-contract arrangement.

What You Will Do

Create, roll out, and keep updated the interface management plan, interface register, and interface agreements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring actions are tracked through to closure.
Map and manage internal and external interfaces of a technical, physical, organizational, and operational nature across disciplines, contractors, and third parties.
Serve as the main point of contact for interface matters involving the client, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Arrange and lead interface meetings, technical reviews, and workshops to drive alignment and close open issues quickly.
Make sure engineering outputs, specifications, and system designs fit together properly, and resolve any clashes or gaps.
Set system limits, battery limits, and dependencies between work packages and disciplines.
Follow interface deliverables against milestones, schedules, and KPIs, and keep interface actions moving toward closure.
Own and maintain interface registers, technical logs, and query logs, with accurate records and reporting.
Support coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, and operations functions to keep the project aligned.
Spot interface-related risks, assess their impact, maintain risk logs, and help drive preventive action.
Assist with Management of Change activities and evaluate how changes affect interfaces.
Coordinate interfaces during construction, commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and brownfield or tie-in work.
Ensure all parties follow project procedures, contract obligations, and agreed interface requirements.
Prepare interface progress reports, dashboards, meeting notes, and status updates for project leadership.
Escalate urgent interface issues that may affect schedule, cost, or quality.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related field is required.
Between 7 and 15 years of experience in EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects, ideally in oil and gas, energy, or infrastructure.
Background in interface coordination, project engineering, or integration-focused roles.
Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary, and multi-contractor project settings.
Exposure to brownfield, offshore, or similarly complex execution environments is preferred.
Strong command of English is mandatory.
Solid understanding of interface management methods and the project lifecycle from FEED through commissioning.
Working knowledge of risk management, planning, cost control, and change control practices.
Ability to use Primavera P6, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
Familiarity with interface management systems and document control platforms.
Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Additional Information

Some travel may be needed within the Middle East and to offshore or onshore project locations, depending on business needs.

Working Conditions

Location: Doha, Qatar.
Working hours: 45 hours per week, arranged as 9 hours per day across 5 days.
Employment arrangement: permanent contract on a project-based role.
