Role Summary
This position supports service technicians in the repair of exterior doors and PVC windows, including glazing and sealing work. The main goal is to help ensure service jobs are finished correctly and on schedule.

Responsibilities
- Assist the service technician during repair and installation visits.
- Load the service vehicle with the parts and materials needed for scheduled calls.
- Review the daily run sheet to understand the day’s jobs.
- Carry out repairs and adjustments on exterior doors and PVC window products.
- Support re-glazing work on PVC windows.
- Set up scaffolding as required for the job.
- Keep work areas clean during the task and after completion.
- Help maintain customer satisfaction through professional conduct and quality service.
- Support paperwork, reporting, and job completion updates with the service technician.
- Record daily notes in the app and paperwork to confirm work completion.
- Read and follow standard operating procedures.
- Follow all health and safety rules, including required protective equipment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in construction, repairs, or the installation of windows and doors; equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Hands-on experience with glass handling.
- Working knowledge of window and door products, components, and related terminology.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Understanding of safe work practices.
- Comfort with both metric and imperial measurements.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-moving team environment with frequent change.
- Readiness to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver results.
- Problem-solving ability to identify issues and suggest solutions.
- Good time management and personal organization to handle multiple priorities.
- High school diploma or GED.
- First Aid, Fall Protection, and WHMIS training are considered an asset.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working at heights using ladders, manlifts, or scaffolding.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Willingness to travel daily from the office to customer locations and businesses.
- Ability to use basic workplace technology such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
- Availability for overtime on short notice, based on operational needs.
- Willingness to stay overnight occasionally for out-of-town assignments.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed at customer residences and businesses.
- Daily travel between the office and job sites is required.
- The role may involve working from ladders, manlifts, or scaffolding at different heights.
- Physical work includes standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching for long periods.
- Short-notice overtime may be required depending on operational demand.
- Some overnight travel is required for out-of-town jobs.
