Frac Technician

Role Overview

Mansfield Service Partners is hiring a Frac Technician for its Houston, Texas location. This full-time onsite position supports customer accounts with sampling, technical service, lubricant-related field work, and reliability-focused support.

Key Duties

• Oversee a sampling program tailored to assigned customer accounts.
• Work with clients to understand their business goals and suggest practical strategies and solutions that help improve performance and growth.
• Take part in review meetings with customer stakeholders when required.
• Join recurring reliability review sessions with the onsite reliability team.
• Train client staff onsite so they can carry out sampling and technical service tasks.
• Share product opportunities, service feedback, and other field observations with internal teams so they can be used in market planning and sales strategy.
• Complete any required certifications or safety procedures needed to carry out field service responsibilities.
• Secure any site-specific safety or technical certifications demanded by designated accounts.
• Recommend specialized storage and dispensing equipment.
• Perform planned oil sampling and coordinate communication with customers.
• Investigate product contamination issues in customer and lubrication operations, identify root causes, and support corrective actions.
• Assist with lubricant business planning and sales support.
• Carry out electric motor greasing and lubrication route work.
• Perform refinery oil changes as assigned and report the outcomes.
• Complete visual inspection routes as assigned and communicate findings along with any actions taken.

Working Conditions and Schedule

This role is based in an outdoor environment and may involve exposure to dirt, dust, vibration, noise, fumes, odors, and wet or humid conditions. The job can also include frequent exposure to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. Tasks may require standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and hearing. Travel by vehicle or airplane may be needed, and the role may involve sitting for long durations. The position regularly requires lifting up to 25 lbs.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Long hours and weekend work are not typical, but may occasionally be necessary. Travel of up to 10% is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MLT-1 certification.
• At least 3 years of mechanical experience in areas such as automotive work, industrial machinery, valves, or pumps.
• At least 3 years of experience with fuel and lube pumps, nozzles, and fittings.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal ability and sound problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and protocols consistently.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience around pumps is an advantage.
