Role Overview
This Finance Executive position is based in Bengaluru and calls for more than 5 years of experience. The role is centered on purchases and inventory accounting, with responsibility for managing the procurement cycle, maintaining cost accuracy, and keeping inventory-related financial records reliable. The role also involves supplier coordination, discrepancy checks, and support for systems-based process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep inventory records precise across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, while reviewing and explaining any mismatches in inventory accounts.
- Handle purchasing activities and vendor coordination, including negotiating contracts and maintaining productive supplier relationships.
- Prepare periodic inventory reports, examine cost of goods sold, and support accurate inventory valuation for financial reporting.
- Take ownership of month-end inventory close work, including reconciliations and related journal entries.
- Improve workflows by using ERP platforms such as NetSuite or Oracle to make purchasing and inventory tracking more efficient.
- Track stock levels to avoid shortages, limit obsolete stock, and improve inventory turnover.
Required Background and Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is expected.
- The role requires at least 5 years of experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, or purchasing, preferably in manufacturing settings.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP is important.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is needed for reporting and analysis.
- The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical thinking, sharp attention to detail, and solid negotiation ability.
