Facilities Team Member

Role overview

This permanent position is based in Liverpool North and supports a student living environment that is safe, tidy, and comfortable. In this role, you will work as part of the facilities team to resolve maintenance issues, support health and safety standards, and help create a welcoming community for residents.

Working pattern

The role is for 37.5 hours each week across 5 days out of 7, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Weekend work is required on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities

You will carry out day-to-day maintenance and respond to issues quickly, while working closely with the Facilities Team Leader, colleagues, and residents. The job involves making sure buildings remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

• Handle routine maintenance tasks such as basic joinery, plastering, plumbing, electrical repairs, and other reactive jobs.
• Support a safe workplace by completing checks, reacting promptly to safety-related requests, and following relevant procedures and policies.
• Provide a strong service experience by speaking with students and colleagues, responding to repair requests and feedback, and staying approachable and helpful.
• Record repair issues accurately through digital PDA tools, complete planned inspections, and pass remedial items to the right engineer.

• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
