EVS Associate

Job Summary

This role is focused on keeping assigned Backus Health System facilities clean and sanitary, helping reduce cross-contamination, managing bacteria and odor control, and maintaining suitable aseptic conditions across all designated locations. The position may also include cross-training in linen services processes and methods as needed.

Qualifications

Education: No minimum education is required.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

License/Certification: Not applicable.

Preferred Education: High school diploma.

Preferred Experience: 6 to 12 months of experience in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Candidates should be able to follow spoken and written directions, communicate information clearly, and use basic computer tools such as email and web browsing. The role also calls for familiarity with housekeeping basics and floor care, along with the ability to read, write, and handle simple math when required. Strong time management, organization, adaptability, teamwork, and basic computer literacy are important.
