Role overview
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and proactive Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to join its established Nutrition and Dietetic Service at UCLH. The post offers the chance to work within a large specialist teaching hospital and to develop experience across oncology, haematology, gastroenterology and paediatrics.
In this position, you will work alongside dietitians to deliver safe, timely and patient-focused nutrition support. The role combines clinical and administrative work and contributes to effective care throughout the patient pathway, including supporting efficient discharge planning.
About the service
The Nutrition and Dietetic Service at UCLH operates across the trust and provides inpatient and outpatient support from eight sites. The department is large, progressive and multidisciplinary, with more than 60 dietitians and 4 dietetic assistants delivering specialist services for both adults and children. The team is committed to evidence-based, efficient and high-quality nutritional care.

What the role involves
Working under the guidance of a registered dietitian, the Dietetic Assistant Practitioner will support delivery of the nutrition and dietetic service at University College Hospital. The postholder will contribute to patient care across specialist services and help maintain a smooth, effective service for both clinical and administrative requirements.
