Data Engineer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This position is for a Data Engineer working as an AI Trainer, helping improve the quality and capability of AI systems. You will join a large community of technical professionals contributing to real-world AI development through coding-focused tasks.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You may create and solve programming problems, build applications with practical functionality, and analyze or visualize data to generate useful insights. The tasks are designed to help AI models learn, adapt, and improve over time. Some contributors use this as a side role alongside other work, while others make it their main focus and select projects based on their own availability.

How the process works

After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that acts as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will become available through the platform.

What the work involves

• Develop and solve a variety of coding challenges used to train AI models, with a focus on Android development.
• Produce concise, well-structured code examples along with clear explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps shape future improvements to the models.

Contract and working style

This is an independent contractor arrangement. You decide which projects to take up and when to work. The role is fully remote, and you can complete tasks from your own computer in your own time.

Pay and payment details

Compensation is hourly, starting at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, with higher rates available on some projects. Payment is issued through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal.

Eligibility and location

This opportunity is open only to candidates in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these countries will not be able to access work or assessments at this time.

Qualifications

Applicants should have native-level or bilingual English fluency, strong writing and grammar skills, and a completed or in-progress bachelor’s degree. Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is preferred. Kotlin experience is preferred, and candidates should also be comfortable with at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
