Data Analyst (Entry-Level / Junior)

Role Overview

This junior data analyst position supports informed business decisions by gathering, structuring, examining, and explaining data drawn from operational and commercial systems. The role focuses on turning raw information into useful insight for stakeholders.

Core Work

You will build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual summaries that highlight business performance, key trends, and KPI movement. The role also involves checking data quality, correcting inconsistencies, and making sure datasets remain accurate and reliable.

In addition, you will review datasets to uncover patterns, opportunities, risks, and areas where performance can improve. Findings will need to be communicated in a clear, practical way through reports and presentations that are useful to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will work with teams across the organization to support forecasting, performance tracking, process improvement, and broader strategic projects aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness and growth.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline is required. The role calls for strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and careful attention to detail.

Applicants should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, analysis tools, reporting platforms, and data visualization software. Familiarity with SQL, database fundamentals, statistical methods, and data handling practices is an added advantage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with the ability to present complex information in a clear and actionable format. Good organization, time management, and the ability to handle several priorities and deadlines at once are also expected. Knowledge of business intelligence, reporting structures, data governance, performance measurement, and continuous improvement concepts will be beneficial.
