About the Company
Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) is based in Richland, Washington and supports the long-term cleanup and protection efforts tied to the Hanford area. The organization focuses on reducing risk across the Hanford Site by helping remove highly hazardous waste streams and facilities within the Department of Energy complex. This position sits within the Construction Services Contracts team, supporting work that has meaningful environmental and community impact.
Role Overview
The Construction Services team is looking for a proactive contract professional who can contribute across procurement and contract administration activities while collaborating closely with internal partners.
Key Duties
- Handle procurement work from early planning through final closeout while following established policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Administer purchasing and contracting tasks across several contract types using good judgment and procurement best practices.
- Review Requests for Equitable Adjustments and assist with contract modifications and related administrative actions.
- Create and maintain procurement records so they remain aligned with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Work within broad guidelines, making sound decisions on important matters to support successful procurement results.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and related teams before procurement and after award.
- Resolve complicated procurement matters by reviewing multiple information sources and applying practical business judgment.
- Serve as a helpful resource for teammates and may guide projects or tasks with limited risk and modest resource needs.
- Take part in training and help improve procurement tools, guidance documents, and process write-ups.
- Bring experience in routine contract and purchase order formation, solicitations, and administration.
- Have experience working with Requests for Equitable Adjustments.
Qualifications
For Career Level Grade 16, the role requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience. For Career Level Grade 17, the requirement is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent background with 6 or more years of relevant experience. The company notes that the higher level carries greater scope, complexity, authority, and impact, and the final level offered will depend on business needs and the candidate’s education, training, and experience.
Desired Background
- Familiarity with supply chain management activities connected to construction services and fabrication contracts.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel for supporting internal and external clients.
- Understanding of procurement systems and related processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual pay range for a full-time 40-hour week schedule is $81,500 to $125,250 for Career Level Grade 16 and $86,200 to $137,650 for Career Level Grade 17. Pay is determined using CPCCo’s compensation process, which considers job scope, responsibilities, and the candidate’s education, training, experience, as well as internal and external market factors. Salary history will not be requested. In addition to base pay, employees may qualify for variable pay awards.
