Clinical Educator

Role overview

Inizio Engage partners with a major biotechnology company across commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. In this role, you will serve as a Clinical Educator, delivering disease-state education to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialty settings within an assigned therapeutic area. You will use approved materials, work within program standards, and follow all compliance expectations set by both the company and the client.

What you will do

• Provide detailed education on the relevant disease state and management approaches to healthcare providers.
• Build productive relationships with customers and stakeholders by using approved educational resources.
• Operate strictly within compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements in all discussions, materials, and field activities.
• Follow the operating boundaries defined by the client and coordinate with field counterparts.
• Finish all required company and client training, including competency checks, within the prescribed timelines.
• Keep accurate daily records of office visits and all required reporting activities.
• Log time and expenses using the designated company systems.
• Maintain any professional registration or licensure required by Inizio and applicable state law.
• Attend local or national meetings and conferences as requested to stay current and share best practices.
• Care for company and client equipment and materials according to instructions.
• Ensure every activity follows company policy, the code of conduct, and outside industry regulations.
• Remain reachable during working hours to handle inquiries and perform assigned duties.
• Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license at all times and report any violations or penalty points immediately.
• Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as needed, including overnight trips.
• Take on additional duties when requested.
• Note that Clinical Educators do not provide nursing services, medical treatment advice, or product promotion for pharmacological products.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year, with final pay determined by experience, skills, internal equity, and business requirements.

Candidate profile

The role calls for a licensed healthcare professional, preferably a respiratory therapist or registered nurse, with hands-on experience in a disease state or related area. Prior exposure to pharmaceutical or biotech environments in a clinical educator or sales capacity is preferred. Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills are important, along with the ability to work independently and manage several priorities at once.

Additional requirements

• Qualified healthcare professional with an active state license
• Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease state or related field; respiratory background preferred
• Ability to present effectively to physicians and office staff members
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities and territory priorities
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical knowledge
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays
• Must live within the assigned territory
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment
