Role Overview
The Home Category team in India is seeking a Category Manager to take ownership of category growth and key customer-centric initiatives. The role calls for someone who is deeply committed to customer satisfaction and to making Amazon a preferred business partner for Home brands. The right candidate should be comfortable thinking at scale, handling ambiguity, and moving quickly with experimentation.
This position is best suited to a self-driven professional with strong analytical ability, a results-focused mindset, and the confidence to make independent, data-backed decisions. The role also requires regular collaboration with senior internal and external stakeholders across geographies.
The selected candidate should bring strong problem-solving capability, the ability to work within constraints, clear communication and writing skills, a high sense of ownership, persistence, and experience leading teams toward organizational goals. Comfort with a changing structure in a developing space is also important.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Excel experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting, including negotiation work and a track record of delivering results.
- Bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years of professional or military experience.
- Experience in financial analysis and ownership of P&L.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large datasets to improve performance and streamline processes.
- Background in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotions, inventory control, and product development.
