Role Overview
Lucanet is hiring a Business Development Representative to drive pipeline creation across Singapore. The position is focused entirely on outbound prospecting and generating new opportunities. In this role, you will identify, approach, and qualify potential customers within the target market, then hand over sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives. You will be the first touchpoint for prospective customers and will work closely with sales teams to support revenue growth.
This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys proactive outreach, is confident speaking with senior decision-makers, and wants to build expertise in enterprise finance and compliance challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and approach new prospects through outbound methods such as phone, email, and social selling.
- Study target companies and contacts so outreach can be tailored and relevant.
- Assess prospects using agreed qualification standards, including ideal customer fit, relevant use case, and purchase intent, before forwarding them to sales.
- Schedule meetings and create qualified sales opportunities for Account Executives and Account Managers.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to stay aligned on accounts, messaging, and campaigns.
- Keep CRM records current and accurate for leads, activities, and opportunities.
- Improve outreach messages over time using feedback, performance results, and market learning.
Requirements
- Some prior exposure to business development, outbound sales, or a fast-moving commercial setting, or a strong ambition to grow a career in B2B sales.
- Comfort starting conversations with new contacts, including senior finance and business leaders.
- Strong verbal communication and questioning abilities, with the skill to uncover customer pain points and judge fit.
- A resilient, goal-oriented approach and comfort handling a high volume of outreach activity.
- Strong organisation and follow-through to manage follow-ups and keep the pipeline clean.
- Interest in SaaS, enterprise software, and understanding complex business environments.
- Fluency in English plus one of Singaporean Mandarin, Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil.
Perks and Benefits
- Flexible working model that lets you plan your hours and location around your needs and responsibilities.
- Option to work from abroad for up to 90 working days outside your home country with support from the company’s Workflex partner.
- Sabbatical options for extended time away for travel, family, personal projects, or other pursuits.
- A team-oriented culture that values collaboration, shared learning, and celebrating success together.
- Learning and development support with dedicated time, resources, and budget for growth.
- Regular feedback and development conversations to support personal and professional progress.
- Paid volunteer time to support individual or team community contributions.
- Health and wellbeing support, including company initiatives, sports subsidies, mental health support, and counseling through external partners.
- A generous leave policy designed to help employees rest, travel, and recharge.
- Compensation support and a company pension plan and/or pension allowance.
- Bike purchase support through JobRad.
- Access to discounts through an external corporate benefits partner.
