Role Overview
The team is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the brand’s next stage of growth. This position is far beyond standard selling; it calls for someone who can independently shape strategy, unlock new business channels, cultivate premium partnerships, and negotiate confidently with senior stakeholders while building durable revenue streams.
What You Will Do
- Create demand and expand market reach by acquiring new customers and deepening business with current accounts.
- Identify and approach prospects in pharmacies, beauty stores, spas, hotels, supermarkets, and wellness businesses.
- Design and implement a clear, organised business development plan.
- Develop trust-based relationships with business owners, buyers, procurement teams, and senior decision-makers.
- Pursue and secure corporate gifting and hospitality opportunities, including hotels, lodges, serviced apartments, and premium Airbnb properties.
- Oversee strategic accounts, negotiate commercial terms, and support long-term account growth.
- Keep the sales pipeline active and deliver precise weekly pipeline and performance updates.
- Work closely with merchandising and marketing teams to improve account outcomes.
- Meet or exceed revenue goals and account expansion targets on a consistent basis.
Who You Need To Be
- A proven business developer with a history of opening and expanding accounts.
- Comfortable influencing and negotiating with senior-level stakeholders.
- Strategic in thinking and disciplined in execution.
- Well organised, proactive, and dependable in taking ownership of results.
- Strong in relationship management, presentations, and day-to-day communication.
- Motivated by a fast-moving, entrepreneurial workplace.
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in Business Development, Key Account Management, FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Beauty, Hospitality, or a similar sector.
- Clear evidence of successfully opening and growing business accounts.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Holding a valid driving licence will be considered an added advantage.
Performance Measures
- Number of strategic new accounts secured.
- Monthly revenue delivered and growth achieved across accounts.
- Corporate and hospitality partnerships closed.
- Strength of the pipeline, conversion performance, and customer retention.
Compensation
The package includes a competitive base salary together with an appealing commission plan tied to performance.
