Role overview

This opening is for a Business Analyst focused on CASA and Flexcube-related operations, based in Chennai. The position is for an Assistant Vice President level professional and involves business analysis, project support, process improvement, user coordination, and functional delivery for CASA-related initiatives.

Open position

Assistant Vice President (AVP) - 1 vacancy. The role calls for 10 to 15 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in middle-office or back-office CASA operations.

What you will do

• Validate business requirements during prototyping and test them against use cases.
• Design new work procedures or practical workarounds where needed.
• Plan and drive user-side tasks from a business analysis perspective.
• Study system performance and process cycle times to identify improvements.
• Train users in local and overseas locations.
• Support UAT activities, including test case preparation and issue tracking.
• Coordinate with end users, vendors, and head office teams for migrations and project work.
• Help create system manuals and operational documentation.
• Perform client impact assessment and support customer communication.
• Act as a subject matter expert for CASA-related IT projects.
• Support system design, workflow design, and implementation planning.
• Track user-side progress, manage issues and risks, and assist in resolving them.
• Share regional status updates, challenges, and achievements with BA leads.
• For AVP-level work, oversee project delivery, coordinate across teams, and maintain structured analysis and documentation.

What the role expects from you

• Experience in bank middle-office or back-office operations for CASA is preferred.
• Strong hands-on exposure to the end-to-end CASA process, including account opening, account maintenance, transaction handling such as deposits and withdrawals, and interest calculation.
• For AVP level, subject knowledge in these areas is mandatory.
• Strong capability in writing BRDs, FRDs, and planning/executing UAT is required.
• For VP/AVP-level CASA account handling, documentation, data management, compliance checks, and maintenance are mandatory.
• Comfort working with colleagues across different geographies is required; formal overseas experience is not necessary.
• Experience with core banking platforms such as FLEXCUBE or T24 is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region to meet teams and gather requirements.
• A master’s degree, preferably in Science or IT, is preferred.
