Role Overview
Holland & Barrett is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Liffey Valley Shopping Centre store in Clondalkin, Dublin. This is a permanent, on-site role with a working pattern of 38.75 hours per week and an hourly pay rate of €16.40.
The role suits someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting team growth, and creating excellent customer experiences. You will help drive store performance, keep operations running effectively, and contribute to a healthier, happier community through retail leadership.
Key Duties
- Work alongside the Store Manager to guide, energise, and support the store team.
- Coach team members so they deliver excellent service and develop strong customer connections.
- Keep the store customer-focused, organised, and running efficiently.
- Support commercial results through sales growth, cost awareness, and strong operational standards.
- Oversee stock accuracy, merchandising presentation, and the correct delivery of promotions.
- Maintain high standards for safety, wellbeing, and policy compliance across the store.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
- Stay current with health and wellness products, trends, and training.
- Complete the Qualified to Advise training to provide informed support to customers.

You should be a confident and flexible leader who performs well in a busy retail setting. Strong communication skills are important, as is the ability to coach others, build trust, and encourage great teamwork.
Commercial awareness, a focus on targets, and an interest in improving store results are essential. A genuine enthusiasm for health and wellbeing, along with a commitment to learning, will help you succeed in this position. Experience in retail or customer service is expected, and you should be ready to take the next step into leadership. Comfort with technology and digital tools is also useful for supporting daily operations and improving the customer journey.
