About the Role

This fully remote position is with Newtrient LLC, an organization established in 2015 to help lower the environmental impact of U.S. dairy while keeping those improvements financially practical. The company partners with farmers, cooperatives, and businesses across the dairy supply chain to speed up the adoption of climate-smart methods, technologies, and market-based solutions.

Role Summary

The Analyst, Sustainability Programs will help carry out customer-focused conservation projects through hands-on coordination, data gathering, and creation of project outputs across several implementation efforts. The position supports on-farm assessment work, prepares material for reports and recommendations, and helps keep operational tasks moving on time.

This role is central to keeping projects on track day to day by organizing information, handling logistics, and helping produce deliverables that support sustainability solutions for dairy farmers.

The position calls for strong analytical ability, careful attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle multiple active projects in a fast-moving, collaborative setting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with the rollout of farm-level environmental initiatives such as RCPP, DFA AMP, and similar programs by arranging farm visits, coordinating assessments, monitoring participation, and making sure activities stay aligned with workplans and deliverables. Provide administrative and logistical support so field and farmer-facing work runs smoothly.
  • Help prepare sustainability reports and program outputs by drafting initial content, organizing farm data, compiling survey and assessment findings, and formatting materials for analysis and reporting. Support on-farm sustainability assessments and recurring data summaries.
  • Contribute to updates of the Solutions Catalog and other sustainability resources by collecting technology evaluation inputs, keeping documentation current, and preparing structured summaries of on-farm practices and solutions for internal review and farmer-facing use.
  • Work with internal partners to create and share materials for sustainability presentations and meetings.
  • Support Newtrient-led projects by tracking tasks, maintaining documentation, organizing workflows, and helping coordinate communication across teams to keep deliverables moving forward on schedule.
  • Assist with regular updates to communications channels, including website content changes, document management, and drafting or formatting items for Newtrient News and related communications as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in environmental science, agriculture, sustainability, data analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 0–2+ years of relevant experience in sustainability, agriculture, environmental programs, data analysis, or project coordination is preferred.
  • Familiarity with, or strong interest in, dairy systems, agricultural sustainability, or environmental performance tracking is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Comfort working with cross-functional experts across several locations.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, eager to learn, and able to perform well in a deadline-driven team environment.
  • Strong connection to agricultural and farmer-facing work is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this role is $58,300 to $65,000 per year. This is the range Newtrient believed it may pay for the position at the time of posting.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, legal coverage, paid parental leave, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and flexible spending accounts for health care, dependent care, transit, and parking. The 401(k) plan offers up to a 10% match and includes a Roth option. The company notes that it may change or discontinue its benefits programs at any time.
