About the Role
This position is for a hands-on and organised Afternoon Fleet Controller who will keep operations moving during the evening window. The role is designed to strengthen fleet performance, lessen dependence on overtime, and maintain control after the usual allocator coverage has ended.
Based in a hybrid/remote working setup, you will provide light afternoon shift support by monitoring plant activity, tracking agitator movements, and helping maintain safe and controlled site operations across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the agitator fleet after 6pm and make sure vehicles are allocated and covered efficiently.
- Track late pour work and customer requirements to support smooth completion of each job.
- Handle job completion tasks such as delivery checks and system updates.
- Oversee concrete waste, dumping controls, and related compliance obligations.
- Watch plant operations remotely to support security, closing procedures, and site integrity.
- Spot operational risks or issues early and escalate them promptly.
- Support fatigue management for drivers through active monitoring and escalation when needed.
About You
You should bring solid experience in coordination, logistics, transport, fleet, or broader operations. The role suits someone who can work independently in a remote environment, stay highly organised, and communicate clearly with a practical, solutions-led mindset. You’ll also need to juggle competing priorities confidently in a busy setting while keeping safety and compliance front of mind.
What’s On Offer
- Flexibility through hybrid/remote working.
- A structured afternoon roster from 1pm to 9pm that supports better work-life balance.
- The chance to contribute directly to operational efficiency and longer-term workforce sustainability.
- A supportive team culture with strong operational support behind you.
- Ongoing growth and development with a major organisation.
