About the internship
This role is for a junior industrial designer to help define the appearance and physical design of autonomous aerial systems at a fast-moving UAV startup. The work spans concept development through prototype-ready design, with a focus on aircraft exteriors, chassis styling, and practical integration with drone hardware.
What you'll work on
- Create a unified design language for UAV bodies, including exterior forms, surface detailing, and chassis concepts that strengthen the product identity while staying aligned with aerodynamic and ergonomic needs.
- Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and presentation-ready renderings, refining them for real-world production methods such as injection molding and carbon-fiber layups.
- Collaborate with mechatronics and embedded engineering teams to fit internal components efficiently, with attention to heat dissipation and sensor field of view.
- Lead fast prototyping efforts using FDM and SLA 3D printing, foam mockups, and CMF studies to evaluate buildability, assembly, and user interaction.
- Prepare technical documentation, exploded diagrams, and 3D motion visuals for investor presentations and product launches.

Additional requirements
