Automobile Technician and Electrician Intern

About the internship

This internship is suited for ITI or diploma students and freshers who want practical exposure in the automobile field. You will work with a commercial vehicle service team and gain hands-on experience in inspection, diagnostics, servicing, and repair processes for commercial vehicles.

The role is with a Tata-authorised commercial vehicle workshop that supports heavy and light commercial vehicles, including Tata trucks, buses, pickups, and fleet vehicles. The team handles a wide range of technical work such as engine diagnostics, ECU scanning, BS6 DEF/AdBlue support, breakdown and highway assistance, genuine spare parts handling, clutch and brake repairs, suspension, gearbox work, electrical repairs, and fleet maintenance support. The operation runs 24/7 across multiple locations and is focused on dependable vehicle performance and reducing downtime for transport operators.

What you will do

As part of the internship, you will assist technical staff in day-to-day workshop activities and learn core service workflows.

• Help inspect vehicles, identify faults, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Support maintenance, servicing, and repair work for commercial vehicles.
• Use diagnostic instruments, workshop equipment, and standard troubleshooting methods under guidance.
• Assist with identifying spare parts, managing inventory, and maintaining service records.
• Work in line with safety rules and workshop procedures while coordinating with technical teams.
• Take part in training sessions designed to build automotive and electrical skills.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open to candidates who can work from home, can begin between 22 June 2026 and 27 July 2026, and can commit to a 6-month internship. Applicants should have relevant skills and interest in the role. Women looking to start or restart their career are encouraged to apply. Mechanical Engineering students are also eligible. Candidates should have completed or be pursuing ITI or diploma studies in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related trade, and should be willing to learn in a technical environment with a basic understanding of vehicle systems and maintenance.

Stipend and structure

The internship offers a monthly stipend in the range of INR 2,000 to 10,000. The pay structure includes a fixed component of INR 1,000 to 5,000 per month plus an incentive component of INR 1,000 to 5,000 per month.
