About the Role

The Trust & Safety function is responsible for anticipating and reducing risks across the Wolt platform, while also ensuring that any incidents are handled with speed, care, and fairness. A core goal of the team is to make the platform feel safe for everyone involved, whether they are ordering, delivering, or selling.

As a Senior Associate / Manager supporting the Global Manager of Personal and Road Safety, you will help expand safety strategy and initiatives across markets. Your work will contribute to stronger safety outcomes for couriers, customers, merchants, and other platform users, while reinforcing trust through transparent and effective practices.

This position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will own important operational programs, assess risks, and continuously improve the systems and controls that support safety across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead local improvements in personal and road safety across multiple markets, adapting initiatives to regional needs while staying aligned with the global approach.
• Review market-level safety patterns and incident information, identify the most important risk areas, and turn findings into practical action.
• Create and roll out focused safety programs that help reduce incidents and improve outcomes for couriers and other platform users.
• Develop and sustain relationships with NGOs, public authorities, and other external partners.
• Work closely with Product, Support, Legal, Policy, and Operations teams to scale safety improvements effectively.
• Improve incident management tools and workflows so they remain efficient and scalable.
• Investigate safety cases in depth, identify underlying causes, and strengthen prevention and response measures over time.
• Help standardize best practices and safety requirements across different regions.
• Support local teams with training, guidance, and playbooks related to personal and road safety.

Requirements

• At least 4–6 years of experience in Operations, Strategy & Planning, Trust & Safety, Risk, or a related area, preferably in the platform or gig economy.
• Exposure to, or a strong interest in, personal safety, road safety, or operational risk management.
• Practical knowledge of Jira and Looker.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with the capability to convert data into clear next steps.
• Background in program or project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with experience managing both internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced setting with ambiguity and changing priorities.
• Experience building, improving, or scaling processes, policies, or operational programs.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, is required.
• Additional languages such as French or Greek are considered an advantage.
