About the Role

This position is focused on keeping work moving smoothly across multiple teams and delivery streams. The Scrum Master steps in when tickets become stalled or lack ownership, especially for items tied to booking journeys, supplier integrations, or payment handling. In those cases, the role assigns a clearly accountable owner and records the path to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Drive tickets through QA, load testing, and final completion so sprints do not get congested and downstream inventory, booking, and payment updates stay on schedule.
Make sure a task is truly complete from the perspective of dependent teams and customer-facing systems, not merely finished from a development standpoint.
Turn Jira information and operational metrics into concise leadership updates that explain progress, risk, and team throughput.
Prevent engineers from starting work unless requirements, dependencies, and approvals are clear, especially for supplier integration initiatives and cross-team feature work.
Bring together decisions made in Slack and email and record them in Jira so the team has one reliable reference point.
Review team load across Core, AI, Philippines, and Supplier streams so no group exceeds 80% of available capacity.
Serve as the main intake point for QA requests so the Lead QA Developer can stay focused instead of being pulled into ad hoc questions.
Manage defect routing, set triage priority, and ensure issues affecting booking, payments, or supplier reliability are handled within sprint-safe timelines.
Spot when senior engineers are spending time on manual or low-value work and coordinate handoffs so they can return to architecture and integration tasks.
Join coordination meetings between teams and the PM, taking on the logistics burden so senior contributors can concentrate on delivery.
Own the agenda, facilitation, and follow-up for all One Simplenight Engineering syncs, including Core, Supplier, DevOps, QA Automation, and Philippines team DSUs.
Track action items and make sure they are closed out consistently from week to week.
Fill in information gaps whenever a team cannot attend a meeting.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead in a fast-moving SaaS setting.
A Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM II/III), or similar Agile credential is preferred.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex release cycles and collaborating on AI or data-driven products.
Strong command of Agile tools such as Jira and Notion for workflow automation and reporting.
Solid understanding of project management practices for aligning several cross-functional teams.
