Role overview
Lamb Weston EMEA is hiring a Sanitation Operator for the Processing department in Wisbech, England. This is a full-time onsite position on 12-hour shifts that rotate between days and nights. The salary is £30,750 per year.
The main aim of the role is to keep production areas and the processing line clean and compliant so operations can run safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness across the processing zone, including the line, walkways, and the area from the PEF to the EQ belt.
- Accurately complete the cleaning duty sign-off sheet.
- Follow all applicable health and safety rules, environmental standards, and GMP requirements.
- Take personal responsibility for safe working practices and the safety of people nearby through behavioural-based safety principles.
- Perform sanitation work as needed, including shutdown-related cleaning tasks.
- Stay at your assigned station until formally relieved at shift handover.
- Provide practical on-the-job guidance, support, and training to colleagues when required.
- Escalate issues to a supervisor or manager promptly.
- Handle any additional reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor or manager.
Performance measures
- Quality and foreign material complaints.
- GMP compliance.
- Downtime.
- Behavioural Based Safety performance.
- Line rates and recovery, including optical clean performance.
Qualifications and experience
- GCSEs in Maths and English, or an equivalent qualification.
- Training in Lamb Weston chemicals, health and safety, GMP, and RPPT.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Background in cleaning or sanitation work.
