Core responsibilities

In this position, you will support commercial operations by handling customer orders, coordinating with internal partners, and keeping communication consistent across the supply chain. You will help the business respond quickly to changes in market conditions and availability while maintaining a high standard of service.

Order management

• Enter and process customer orders accurately in company systems using direction from Account Managers, Sales Leadership, and Supply Chain Planning.
• Help customers manage orders and set realistic expectations around volume, pricing, and availability.
• Track supply and demand trends and adjust orders according to inventory levels.
• Investigate invoice differences and process adjustments where needed.
• Spot potential claims or order-related issues early and follow up to resolve them.
• Assist Account Managers with reporting and analysis tied to supply alignment and pool week closures.

Customer service

• Answer customer questions by phone and email about order status, product availability, transport, and estimated arrival times.
• Work with customers and internal teams when products must be redirected to another destination.
• Ensure customer queries and operational requests are addressed promptly.
• Resolve mismatches between quotations, customer portals, pricing agreements, and reports.
• Support the handling of customer claims through internal processes.

Cross-functional collaboration

• Contribute to continuous improvement by testing new systems and sharing feedback on process enhancements.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Transportation, Credit & Collections, and Operations teams to improve workflow efficiency.
• Represent Driscoll’s professionally and ethically in interactions with customers, suppliers, growers, and colleagues.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience managing orders and researching or reconciling purchase orders across multiple platforms.
• Prior exposure to ERP tools such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Advanced Excel capability, including formulas, filters, sorting, and pivot tables.
• Ability to read inventory and availability information and act on it appropriately.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach with empathy, patience, and strong problem-solving ability.
• Capability to identify problems early and engage the correct stakeholders.
• Comfort handling difficult conversations and complex situations with professionalism.

Preferred qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in perishables, logistics, or operations is a strong plus.
• Background in a fast-paced operational environment is preferred.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally if needed.
