Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Safety Executive position in Guwahati, Assam. The role is centered on improving and monitoring safety practices across production, warehousing, and distribution functions. The person in this position will help ensure that workplace activities remain aligned with both statutory requirements and internal safety standards.

Key Duties

The Safety Executive will carry out routine safety checks, review workplace risks, identify unsafe conditions, and suggest corrective as well as preventive actions. The role also includes supporting the creation and rollout of safety procedures, keeping records and reports up to date, and assisting with incident reviews and root cause analysis.

In addition, the position involves arranging safety training sessions and awareness initiatives, ensuring correct use of personal protective equipment, and working with different internal teams to strengthen a strong safety mindset across the site.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a solid understanding of occupational health and safety rules, standards, and practical approaches, preferably gained in manufacturing or FMCG settings. Experience with safety audits, hazard spotting, risk assessment, and incident investigation is important.

Strong ability in preparing safety-related documentation, maintaining compliance records, and using MS Office or similar tools for tracking and analysis is expected. Good communication and interpersonal skills are needed for trainings, toolbox talks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Organization, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement are important. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, and certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar credentials are an advantage.

Previous work in industrial safety or EHS roles within beverage, food processing, or manufacturing plants will be helpful. The role requires the ability to work on-site in Guwahati, conduct regular facility rounds, and support shift-based operations when needed.
