Role Overview
In this specialist training position, you will own the capability and compliance readiness of the remote vehicle operator team. The role focuses on building and delivering programmes that prepare operators to monitor live AV deployments, respond to remote assistance requests correctly, escalate safety issues appropriately, and consistently meet quality expectations from the outset.
You will be part of the remote operations function and will lead onboarding, certification, and recertification for remote operators and team leads. Working alongside the Remote Operations Manager and Quality Controller, you will keep learning content aligned with current operations and use audit results and performance data to strengthen the training programme over time. The role requires working across rotating shifts so teams can be supported around the clock.
Training Design and Delivery
- Help build and deliver learning programmes for remote operators covering system use, vehicle monitoring, remote support workflows, disengagement handling, escalation steps, and SOP adherence.
- Design structured onboarding paths that cover tools, intervention guidelines, documentation expectations, and safety procedures.
- Run regular refresher and recertification sessions tied to platform changes, SOP updates, and quality audit outcomes.
- Develop and maintain learning assets such as SOP documents, assessment tools, platform walkthroughs, and scenario sets.
Simulation and Scenario Training
- Provide scenario-led training through simulated vehicle situations to ready operators for complex and unusual cases.
- Build and update a library of scenarios based on live operational cases and quality review findings.
- Facilitate calibration exercises so operators apply intervention rules and escalation steps consistently.
Performance and Continuous Improvement
- Partner with the Remote Operations Quality Controller to turn audit outcomes and MisOp patterns into focused learning actions.
- Track training completion, assessment results, and post-training quality indicators to judge programme effectiveness.
- Spot improvement opportunities in training design and delivery using Kaizen principles, and submit proposed changes to the Training Manager for approval.
- Refresh training content quickly whenever platform changes, SOP revisions, or new partner requirements arise.
Compliance and Records
- Keep full, audit-ready records of training and certification for all remote operators and team leads.
- Ensure learning programmes satisfy Moove AV expectations, partner requirements, and UAE regulatory qualification standards.
- Escalate operator performance or compliance concerns to the Remote Operations Manager and Training Manager without delay.
Shift Pattern
- Be available on a rotating schedule covering Morning (07:00–15:15), Evening (15:15–23:30), and Overnight (23:30–07:00) shifts so all teams can be trained.
- Work five days on and two days off, including weekends and UAE public holidays.
- Schedules may change depending on operational and training priorities.
What You Need
- 3 to 5 years of experience in remote operations, AV operations, or a 24/7 control centre environment.
- Training, coaching, or quality assurance experience is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of remote assistance platforms, intervention processes, and data logging systems.
- Good understanding of AV system behaviour and best practices for remote operators.
- Ability to deliver engaging learning sessions for operational, shift-based teams.
- Comfort working with quality metrics and performance data to identify gaps and track training impact.
- High attention to detail with the ability to assess performance accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field is preferred. A suitable combination of technical qualifications and relevant AV or automotive experience may also be accepted.
Success Measures
- Remote operators are certified and ready for live work before their first shift.
- MisOp rates decrease as training interventions take effect.
- Recertification is completed on time with no compliance gaps.
- Training materials remain current and aligned with live platform and SOP requirements.
Reporting Line
You will report directly to the Fleet Operations Manager and work closely with the Training & Development Team.
