Role Overview

The Quantitative Trading & Research team is a cross-asset front-office group on the trading floor in Singapore. The team focuses on electronic trading, with particular emphasis on algorithmic order execution across macro markets. This Analyst role is suited to someone who wants to work in a fast-paced environment creating quantitative trading solutions that support clients, generate revenue, and help grow the business.

What You Will Do

You will contribute to the design, research, and implementation of trading and execution solutions. The position also involves building tools and applications, analysing trading outcomes, and supporting the team’s daily operating needs.

• Create and deploy algorithmic order solutions for client execution.
• Develop, test, and refine trading strategies, models, and signals.
• Work with technology partners to build scalable, low-latency infrastructure aligned to business requirements.
• Review execution performance using statistical analysis to support continuous improvement.
• Build real-time and post-trade transaction cost analysis models to improve algorithmic execution quality.

Required Background and Skills

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a closely related field. The role requires at least one year of experience, strong object-oriented programming ability, and a disciplined approach to system design and implementation. Clear communication skills are important because the role involves regular contact with clients and teams across Voice Trading, Sales, Product, Research, and Technology. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, adaptable, and keen to keep learning.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge of statistics or machine learning is an advantage. Interest in systematic quantitative trading across asset classes is also valuable. Familiarity with commodities and/or rates markets, or with trading terminology and concepts, is helpful but not mandatory. Creative and strategic thinking are important for solving problems and identifying new opportunities.
