QA/QC Engineer

About the Company

ACSC is a Saudi construction firm focused on delivering residential, commercial, and multi-storey building projects. The team is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support the Projects Department in Riyadh.

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for making sure all construction activities are carried out in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract obligations, Saudi Building Code requirements, and ACSC quality standards.

The role also includes overseeing site inspections, approving materials, managing testing and non-conformance cases, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to reduce rework and improve delivery quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply ACSC’s quality management system across the assigned projects.
• Prepare, revise, and track the project quality plan.
• Develop method statements in coordination with project and technical teams, and review them for compliance.
• Prepare, review, and implement inspection and test plans.
• Confirm that project execution follows approved drawings, specifications, contract terms, and Saudi Building Code requirements.
• Monitor quality performance and share regular updates with the Project Department Manager.
• Carry out daily inspections and site quality walkthroughs.
• Check that completed work matches approved drawings, specifications, submitted materials, and workmanship expectations.
• Raise inspection requests, follow them up, and track their status until closure.
• Participate in inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Review field and laboratory test outcomes.
• Ensure no material is used on site before approval is granted.
• Inspect structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP works.
• Issue non-conformance reports for work or materials that do not meet requirements.
• Monitor corrective and preventive action plans through to closure.
• Work with site and subcontractor teams to close observations within approved timeframes.
• Spot repeated quality problems and propose preventive measures.
• Request rework or corrective measures when work fails to meet approved standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports.
• Keep inspection records, quality logs, material approvals, test reports, technical submittals, and NCR registers up to date.
• Track inspection results, consultant feedback, and closure of corrective actions.
• Prepare quality KPI summaries and management reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, the technical office, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and approved laboratories.
• Ensure subcontractors follow ACSC quality procedures and project-specific requirements.
• Support project teams in resolving quality issues before they impact cost, programme, or handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture.
• At least 8 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects.
• Background in villas, residential compounds, multi-storey residential buildings, or similar developments.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi Building Code and related construction standards.
• Hands-on experience with concrete, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP inspections.
• Experience dealing with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing laboratories.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an additional advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience creating and reviewing ITPs and method statements.
• Practical knowledge of NCR and CAPA handling.
• Understanding of inspection procedures for structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP works.
• Ability to review material submittals, test reports, and technical approvals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong Excel skills for quality reporting and tracking logs.
• Knowledge of material approval workflows, laboratory testing, and consultant inspection requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, including Odoo, is preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Confident approach to raising and managing quality issues professionally.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Problem-solving and root-cause analysis capability.
• Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple project priorities.
• Good time-management skills.
• Fluent Arabic communication skills.
• Good English communication skills for technical reporting and correspondence.
• Must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Practical experience with ITP preparation and implementation.
• Practical experience with method statement preparation and review.
• Experience with NCR and CAPA processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Experience in root-cause analysis and preventive quality actions.
• Experience maintaining quality records, inspection logs, and project quality documentation.
• Able to carry out regular site inspections, move across construction areas, and work in an active construction environment.
