Role overview
This position is for a Placement Officer supporting people seeking work to move into suitable, meaningful jobs. The role centres on building employer partnerships, understanding each candidate’s strengths, and helping create inclusive hiring outcomes. The role is stated as a permanent, full-time position based in Maryborough, with work across Maryborough and nearby areas.
Key focus areas
- Build and maintain positive relationships with job seekers and help them progress toward their career goals and secure stable work.
- Develop employer relationships by learning their hiring needs and offering workforce solutions tailored to those needs, including introducing suitable job seekers.
- Take part in employer forums, expand professional networks, and stay informed about labour market conditions and trends.
- Be comfortable with proactive outreach, including cold calling and in-person meetings with employers.
