Role overview
Central City Brewers + Distillers is hiring a dependable, practical, and safety-minded Packer Operator for its Surrey production facility. In this role, you will run packaging equipment on the can line, keg line, and variety pack line, while also supporting sanitation, cleanup, product quality, and overall production efficiency. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys a busy manufacturing setting, cares about doing work well, and wants room to develop in the beverage sector.
The position is for the afternoon shift, and additional overtime may be needed depending on operational requirements. The role reports to the Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Work to the production plan so customer orders are finished on time, using the correct materials and meeting defined quality expectations.
- Operate and keep an eye on equipment used on the can, keg, and variety pack lines.
- Carry out changeovers, small equipment adjustments, start-ups, and shutdowns.
- Complete routine quality checks to confirm products stay within specification.
- Follow plant procedures, GMP requirements, regulatory rules, and all safety and quality standards.
- Perform CIP tasks, equipment cleaning, and sanitation of the work area when needed.
- Help investigate issues and support root cause troubleshooting.
- Assist with general housekeeping and sanitation duties as required.
- Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to help production targets be met.
- Take on other related tasks as assigned.

Working conditions
- Ability to repeatedly lift and stack up to 20 kg.
- Ability to pull hoses, bend, squat, climb stairs, and load empty kegs.
- Ability to stand or walk continuously throughout the shift.
- Occasional lifting requirement of up to 40 kg.
- Work takes place in a fast-moving production and packaging environment.
- Shift work is required, including availability for all shifts.
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety rules, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements is mandatory.

- Starting pay of $19.00 per hour.
