Role summary
This position is responsible for munitions accountability, inventory control, and historical recordkeeping in line with AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201, 11A-1-10, and other relevant technical guidance. The role also involves operating Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and supporting compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Key responsibilities
- Apply and enforce USAF and host-nation explosives safety, AFOSH, and security requirements across explosives and non-explosives activities at assigned locations and temporary duty sites.
- Use TICMS as fully as possible and escalate any system issues or discrepancies.
- Support others in learning and using TICMS effectively.
- Verify TICMS connectivity each day and take corrective action when problems arise.
- Carry out munitions tasks in accordance with established quality procedures, identify risks, and suggest root-cause fixes.
- Complete accountability and historical record updates promptly.
- Coordinate with team members to resolve serviceability and accountability concerns identified during inspections and report issues to the Superintendent.
- Escalate any possible concerns immediately to the Munitions Superintendent or Munitions Operations Supervisor.
- Prepare and finalize auditable/accountable transactions and documents without delay.
- Perform warehouse inventory checks and notify the Superintendent of discrepancies.
- Support the ADR process and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken for all assets.
- Reconcile the ADR file in TICMS and report any concerns to senior leadership.
- Help build the master inspection schedule and monitor shelf life and service life so disposition actions can start for impacted assets.
- Follow up on components needed for munitions TCTO actions.
- Review AWM and AWP actions that affect stockpile serviceability.
- Track munitions shipments through IGC and monitor departure status.
- Serve in entry-controller duties when needed.
- Work the hours required, including standby duty, to support peacetime and combat contingency missions.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
- Work in office, maintenance shop, or warehouse settings, with possible extended outdoor work.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of USAF Supply and Tech Order systems, or an equivalent U.S. military service system.
- Strong computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment if needed.
- Valid home-country driver’s license and the ability to secure a host-nation driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of military munitions experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in munitions operations or a comparable field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for that clearance.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) according to procedure and task needs.
- Physical ability to perform the job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
- Normal color vision and depth perception.
- Must be able to work required hours as mission needs dictate.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous USAF MASO experience is preferred.
- Previous experience supporting USAF MAJCOM staff is preferred.
- CCAF degree in Munitions Management is preferred.
