Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

This part-time, remote Junior Data Analyst position at VALORE - Gestão de Gente focuses on supporting everyday data work across several business systems and spreadsheets. The role is centered on keeping information accurate, organized, and ready for use by internal teams.

What you will do

You will help gather, clean, check, and validate data from different sources. You will also contribute to the creation and upkeep of basic dashboards and reports, prepare summary tables, and structure information for internal stakeholders.

Other duties include spotting patterns in the data, producing straightforward charts or visual summaries, and recording data processes and definitions so that the information remains clear and consistent.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work with senior analysts as well as HR and business teams to understand data needs, maintain data quality, and deliver accurate insights in a timely manner to support decisions.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate brings basic spreadsheet capability, including experience with Excel or Google Sheets, plus an understanding of data cleaning and validation. Some exposure to business intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is needed to build simple dashboards and reports.

You should also have foundational analytical and numerical ability, including comfort with descriptive statistics and trend analysis. Introductory familiarity with SQL or database concepts is a strong advantage.

Clear written and spoken communication is important, especially when explaining findings to people without technical backgrounds. Strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several tasks while working remotely are also essential.

An interest in HR, people analytics, or broader business operations is welcome, and previous work with HR or people-related data would be beneficial. Ongoing studies or completed education in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a similar discipline are preferred.
