HVAC Technician

Role overview

An experienced HVAC Technician is needed in Doha to handle the installation, operation, servicing, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across residential, commercial, or industrial environments. The position focuses on keeping systems efficient, safe, and aligned with project requirements and relevant standards.

Key duties

• Fit, test, commission, service, and repair HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, DX units, and VRF/VRV systems.
• Work on split and packaged units, as well as exhaust and fresh air systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to corrective maintenance needs.
• Identify faults and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documentation accurately.
• Handle refrigerant charging, pressure checks, vacuuming, and leak detection in the correct manner.
• Track equipment performance and suggest practical efficiency improvements.
• Follow HSE requirements, local regulations, and project quality standards.
• Prepare and keep service records, maintenance logs, and related documentation up to date.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other trades as needed.
• Attend emergency breakdown calls when required.

Qualifications and experience

Candidates should hold a Diploma or ITI in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a similar field, and bring 3 to 7 years of practical HVAC experience gained in project or facilities settings. Strong working knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control systems is required. Prior exposure to GCC or UAE projects is preferred, along with familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and CIBSE.
