Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Specialist with 5 to 6 years of experience in HR, ideally gained in the hospitality sector. This role covers the full spectrum of HR operations, including hiring, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and day-to-day HR administration. The right person will be a practical, hands-on professional who can support business goals while helping create a positive and high-performing workplace.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Oversee the complete hiring process for hotel and hospitality roles.
- Find candidates through job boards, staffing agencies, employee referrals, and social media channels.
- Arrange interviews with department leaders and hiring managers.
- Carry out reference verification and support offer processing.
- Handle smooth onboarding and induction for new joiners.
Employee Relations
- Develop and sustain healthy working relationships across all departments.
- Respond to employee concerns and professionally manage workplace disputes.
- Assist with engagement activities, recognition initiatives, and retention efforts.
- Conduct exit discussions and study reasons for employee turnover.
Performance Management
- Support annual and mid-year performance review cycles.
- Help managers define KPIs and performance targets.
- Monitor employee performance improvement plans.
- Keep performance records accurate and up to date.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
- Ensure timely preparation of appointment, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and separation letters.
- Manage attendance, leave tracking, and employee information in the HRMS.
- Compile HR reports and dashboards for management.
Learning and Development
- Identify training needs across teams.
- Coordinate both technical and soft-skill training programs.
- Track development plans and evaluate training outcomes.
- Support initiatives focused on leadership growth.
Compliance and Policy Management
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with company HR policies and SOPs.
- Assist with internal and external HR audits.
- Protect the confidentiality of employee records and information.
Compensation and Benefits
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the payroll function.
- Administer employee benefits and insurance plans.
- Support pay benchmarking and compensation review exercises.
- Handle employee questions related to salary processing and benefits.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
- An MBA or PGDM in Human Resources is preferred.
- 5 to 6 years of HR experience is needed, with hospitality industry exposure strongly preferred.
- Background in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or hospitality groups is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Sound understanding of HR practices used in hospitality environments.
- Strong end-to-end recruitment and hiring capability.
- Ability to handle employee relations and resolve conflict.
- Experience in performance management and engagement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of labor law and compliance requirements.
