Key Responsibilities
This role covers financial reporting, technical accounting, compliance, internal control design, audit coordination, and finance transformation across a multinational environment. The Global Controller will also partner with executive leadership to support strategic decisions and lead a distributed team across accounting, tax, and treasury.
Financial Reporting and Accounting Leadership

- Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles to keep reporting efficient and disciplined.
- Oversee external financial reporting activities, including SEC filings such as 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K where relevant.
Compliance, Risk, and Internal Controls
- Build and maintain a strong global internal control structure that safeguards company assets and supports data integrity, with particular attention to SOX compliance.
- Serve as the main contact for external auditors, internal audit teams, and regulatory authorities, and manage global audit activity end to end.
- Identify and reduce accounting, treasury, and foreign exchange risks before they become issues.
Executive Partnership and Team Development
- Work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other senior leaders to provide financial analysis and guidance for company-wide strategy and growth.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing global controllership organization spanning accounting, tax, and treasury.
- Lead finance transformation projects, including selecting, implementing, and improving ERP and accounting systems.
- Look for opportunities to scale the business through AI and other technology-enabled improvements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- A CPA or an equivalent professional certification is required.
- An MBA or a master’s degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting is needed, including 7 or more years in a senior leadership role such as VP, SVP, or CAO.
- Experience should include oversight of global accounting operations for a multinational, publicly traded company.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX-compliant control frameworks is essential.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong executive presence, clear communication skills, and experience leading large teams spread across multiple geographies.
