Forward Deployed AI Integrator, Field Engineering

Role overview

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Forward Deployed AI Integrator to work directly with the regional Field Engineering organization in Dubai. The focus of this position is to embed AI into day-to-day engineering work, helping teams streamline investigations, automate repetitive tasks, improve reporting, and create scalable internal tooling.

This is a highly execution-oriented role. Rather than advising from the sidelines, you will work side by side with Field Engineering teams to identify where AI can deliver the biggest impact, turn successful experiments into repeatable regional practices, and help establish a durable model for AI adoption across the region.

The role is centered on measurable outcomes such as workflow transformation, engineering time saved, and broader adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.

What the role involves

• Partner closely with regional Field Engineering teams to spot, rank, and accelerate the highest-value AI opportunities.
• Promote the use of AI-assisted workflows across investigations, reporting, operational analysis, and engineering tools in the assigned region.
• Work with FE engineers to replace manual processes with reusable AI-driven solutions.
• Create and maintain reusable workflow patterns, templates, and lightweight operating playbooks to support regional adoption.
• Coordinate with GenAI platform teams and internal tooling groups to deliver FE AI initiatives in approved deployment environments.
• Train and support FE engineers on approved practical AI tooling, including Python-based tools, Kiro, and internal AI platforms.
• Measure adoption and operational performance, then communicate results to regional and senior FE leadership.
• Look for opportunities to remove duplicated effort and spread reusable capabilities across regional FE teams.
• Share lessons learned, patterns, and outcomes with the wider FE AI integration community across regions.
• Support FE-led work such as waveform analytics, reporting automation, engineering tooling, and operational dashboards.

Day-to-day environment

You will be embedded with the regional Field Engineering team, working directly with engineers during live investigations, building automation approaches, and helping individual contributors adopt new workflows. The workday is expected to revolve around finding bottlenecks, prototyping AI-enabled solutions, and driving real usage of what proves effective.

Success in this role means being a practical AI partner for the team — someone who can build, adapt quickly, and make AI useful in a way that is visible and measurable.

About the team

Field Engineering supports critical operational functions across AWS’s global infrastructure. The group spans multiple engineering disciplines and regions, covering investigations, electrical and mechanical systems, tooling, reporting, commissioning, troubleshooting, operational analytics, and process improvement.

The team is already developing AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency and speed up engineering execution. This position is one of three initial regional AI integration roles, created to validate the approach and extend it across all Field Engineering regions.

Basic qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in ML Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical program management, workflow automation, or operational analytics.
• Experience working with GenAI platforms, agentic tooling, or AI-enabled operational workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in large-scale infrastructure, operational engineering, or data center environments.
• Experience working alongside operational teams to drive hands-on workflow change.
• Exposure to engineering investigations, reporting automation, or workflow acceleration efforts.
• Experience supporting or operating in the EMEA region and other global regions.
• Ability to influence adoption and change within a technical team without formal authority.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain progress and impact clearly to engineering and leadership stakeholders.
