Financial Controller

Role overview

A growing Dublin-based business is looking to hire a Financial Controller to take ownership of finance operations and support the company’s continued expansion. This is a senior role with wide exposure across the organisation and direct reporting into the CFO.

The position combines hands-on control of day-to-day finance activities with a strong commercial focus, helping shape decisions through analysis, reporting and strategic input.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end closing cycle and deliver management reporting on time and with accuracy.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities.
• Analyse profitability, margins, costs and overall business performance to provide actionable insight.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting workflows and governance practices.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals and other important stakeholders.
• Handle statutory reporting and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team.
• Spot opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
• Contribute to strategic projects, investment decisions and broader commercial initiatives.

Candidate profile
